press : nv2 recordings - nv2002 - red math vs rareform - chicago fury
review of nv2 recordings - nv2002 - knowledge magazine november 2001 :
stateside producer red math causes some damage whilst teaming up with rareform for the flagship voyage
on the new vision sister label. 'chicago fury' claims to be the sequel to rareform's amen anthem 'depthcharge'
and is just as chock full of hard hitting breaks, vocal hooks and blistering bass. on the flip is 'landing messiah' -
spacey bleeps give way to deep, wobbly bass and rolling percussion sure to create a bounce.
review of nv2 recordings - nv2002 - http://www.starbass.com november 2001 :
the nv label drops it's second release, a dark futuristic slice of hard drum 'n bass. tuff chattering drum loops
rumble the a-side as layers of stripped-down bass aggression twist and morph through mechanically filtered
breakdowns, submerged percussion accents and distant vocal echoes.
the flip maintains the dark aspect while implemnting a slightly funkier approach with intermeshed basslines
and rhythmic change-ups through liquid synth echoes and filtered textures in an tuff, eerie flow.
definitely for fans of older technical itch label material...
